Opening remarks[]
The snag about having relatives to stay is that that's exactly what they do do. Usually for months and months. Now one exception to this is Mrs Povey's sister, who never outstays her welcome as far as Captain Povey's concerned. She can't very well outstay it when she's not even welcome in the first place, can she? Alas and alack and pity poor Povey for her annual visit is just about to start.
