The Navy Lark

The Navy Lark (March 29 1959-July 16 1977) was a BBC radio comedy about the crew of the fictional Royal Navy frigate HMS Troutbridge, which is linked to the frigate HMS Troubridge. (For details of the real ship, visit the HMS Troubridge website)

After the forth season, a short lived spin off called The TV Lark was produced, which saw the now redundant crew of Troutbridge attempting to run a television studio. This show was cancelled after ten episodes, with the characters resuming service in the Royal Navy.
